Utilizing Voice Recognition in Remote Meetings

Remote_Voice_Recognition(2020)

People with hearing impairments struggle with voice conversations, making it challenging for them to participate in meetings. Efforts have been made to address this issue through speech recognition transcription. From 2020, due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, the majority of meetings shifted to web conferencing systems. However, this made it even harder for those with hearing impairments to participate compared to regular face-to-face meetings. This heightened the importance of speech recognition. I’d like to introduce a method we developed, in collaboration with those with hearing impairments and our research team members, to utilize speech recognition in remote meetings.
